If you don’t have anything locked in just yet, no worries. That’s what we’re here for.
Let’s check out a few of the best places to spend NYE for families in Southern Florida.
New Year’s Celebration at Collins Park
December 31st at 8:00 p.m. | Collins Canal Park, 2100 Washington Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33139
Come on out to beautiful Miami Beach for a concert, followed by a big-time fireworks blowout next to the ocean.
This event is organized by Orchestra Miami, and features a 42-musician lineup, along with very special guests, the Latin Divos. The music, which consists of a one-of-a-kind blend of classic opera and Latin pop, starts at 8 and goes ‘til midnight, when the sky lights up to celebrate the start of 2024.
This family fun event is totally free, but VIP package seating is available for $120, which also includes concessions and a champagne toast when the fireworks begin. Reserve tickets in advance here.
Salute to Vienna New Year’s Concert
December 31st at 8:00 p.m. | Adrienne Arsht Center, 1300 Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL 33132
Join the Strauss Symphony of America in Knight Concert Hall for an evening of beautiful music and choreographed dance.
This show is a celebration of the rich history of performing arts in Vienna, Austria; home to legendary composers like Mozart and Beethoven. Journey through the golden age of classical music in Europe and add a little (or a lot of) culture to your NYE celebration.
The show begins at 8 and lasts about two and a half hours. Tickets start at just $29.
Haitian Independence Day Celebration
January 1st at 2 p.m. | Miramar Multi-Service Complex, 6700 Miramar Parkway, Miramar, FL 33023
If you’re looking for something to do after all the other family New Year’s Eve events end, why not join our Haitian neighbors in celebrating their heritage with some delicious food and groovy music?
This is an extra special event, because 2024 is the bicentennial year of Haiti’s independence from France, so you won’t want to miss this opportunity to immerse yourself in the culture and history. This soiree is organized by local representative and Haitian native Marie Woodson. It’s free to enter, but make sure you register on the website before you arrive.
Magic City Hippies
December 31st at 8 p.m. | Miami Beach Bandshell, 7275 Collins Avenue, Miami Beach, FL 33141
Are you looking for some eclectic family fun for New Year’s? This musical performance right on the beach blends funk and pop into a unique package, presented by some of Miami’s hometown heroes.
Doors open at 7 and the show starts at 8, but make sure to bring plenty of other stuff to do, because this is the perfect chance to hang out on the beach all night and watch the city fireworks from afar. Food and drink will be available at the venue, and all tickets are $37.50 flat. The music’s going off rain or shine, so be sure to come prepared just in case.
NightGarden
From now until January 7th | Fairchild Tropical Botanical Garden, 10901 Old Cutler Road, Miami, FL 33156
This one might win first prize on our list of kid-friendly New Year’s Eve events. Not only is Fairchild one of the coolest places in the city, but all holiday season long, it’s been hosting a light show that you just have to see to believe.
Across 23 acres, guests will be treated to multiple light and sound shows, including an augmented reality portion that’s sure to be a blast for children of all ages. In fact, this could be a pretty cool place for a kid’s birthday party, now that we think about it.
Tickets for New Year’s Eve are currently running $40, while New Year’s Day tickets are only $25. Be sure to set aside a couple hours to make your way through this exhibit so you don’t miss anything.
