Hyundai made huge waves when it released the Santa Cruz Sport Adventure Vehicle in 2021, and the Braman Hyundai team is excited to announce the 2025 Santa Cruz is being refreshed by the creative folks at Hyundai and will soon be hitting the streets of South Florida.

We wrote about the Santa Cruz in 2022 and declared it to be “Business in front. Party in the back.” Hyundai must be reading our blog and love our content because their marketing materials for the 2025 Santa Cruz are calling it “SUV in the front. Truck in the back. Rugged all around.”

Let’s explore the changes coming to this freshened version of the Santa Cruz.

What Are The Big Updates on this Hyundai Santa Cruz?

The Santa Cruz benefits from subtle exterior changes for 2025 that maintain the spirit and profile of this Sport Activity Vehicle while giving it a fresh pop that will let everyone know you’re riding around in the newest Hyundai on the roads.

All 2025 Santa Cruz models will feature a freshened front fascia, grille, wheel options, and daytime running lights.

The changes on the inside are more numerous and focus on providing a high tech and functional cabin. The center stack controls have been given a major useability upgrade with physical switchgear for the most frequently accessed audio and HVAC functions. There’s also some additional storage and a shelf above the glove box, but let’s breakdown the impressive technical upgrades inside the 2025 Santa Cruz:

  • The Panoramic Curved Display features an available 12.3-inch information cluster as well as the optional 12.3-inch audio-video-navigation system for an immersive infotainment experience
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard on all trim levels for smooth interactions with your phones
  • The Santa Cruz is now compatible with Over the Air software and firmware updates
  • There are USB Type-C ports available
  • Integrated Hyundai Pay will allow you to reserve and prepay at participating public parking lots
  • Bluelink Plus connected car technology allows you to remotely start your vehicle, lock and unlock the doors, and more
  • Forward Attention Warning (FAW) is added as well

Any Changes to the Santa Cruz Limited We Should Know About in Doral?

The Limited trim returns on the 2025 Santa Cruz as the top trim level with one neat addition: the new Towing Drive Mode. This update enhances the drive and ride quality of this Hyundai while towing. Since the Limited comes with the 2.5L Turbo AWD drivetrain as standard equipment, your 2025 Limited grants you up to 5,000 lbs. of towing capacity.

Is AWD Available on the Hyundai Santa Cruz Near Coral Gables?

You may absolutely opt for the power of HTRAC AWD on your 2025 Santa Cruz. It’s actually standard equipment on many of the available trims. We’re still awaiting full ordering details for the 2025 model, but here’s a breakdown of the availability of HTRAC all wheel drive on the 2024 Santa Cruz Sport Adventure Vehicle:

  • SE – Front Wheel Drive standard, HTRAC AWD available
  • SEL – Front Wheel Drive standard, HTRAC AWD available
  • Night – HTRAC AWD standard
  • XRT – HTRAC AWD standard
  • Limited – HTRAC AWD standard

We know some changes are coming to the XRT trim for the 2025 Santa Cruz, but we don’t see HTRAC AWD changing on that trim level.

What’s That About Changes on the 2025 Santa Cruz XRT?

The rugged XRT model of the Santa Cruz  will see significant changes in this exciting redesign, and those changes aren’t just superficial.

Off-Road performance changes to the 2025 Santa Cruz XRT include:

  • An increased approach angle which will enhance its off-road ability
  • All-terrain tires have been added for more grip in all driving situations
  • Front tow hooks are available to help if you get a little too aggressive off road and need a bail out

There are also style and design changes to the XRT of this Hyundai Sport Activity Vehicle which include:

  • Unique 18” XRT wheels with a wrench-inspired design
  • XRT-specific front and rear bumper designs
  • An amazing XRT front grille to stand out from the crowd
  • XRT logos impressed on the front seat upper backs

The 2025 XRT also adds Surround View Monitor and the Blind-Spot View Monitor.

The XRT Santa Cruz gets even better in 2025 and we can’t wait for people around Hialeah, and everywhere, to see!

What are the New Colors for the 2025 Santa Cruz?

First impressions matter big time, especially in Miami. Hyundai added a pair of new exterior colors to the 2025 Santa Cruz, so you can put your best foot forward on every adventure:

  • Rockwood Green
  • Canyon Red

There’s also a new interior color for the seating surfaces: Medium Gray.
