2026 Hyundai Santa Fe Preview
2026 Hyundai Santa Fe Preview

Coming shortly after its sibling in the Hyundai SUV lineup, the 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV is set to hit US markets later in the year with a slight enhancement of the bold design, and rumor has it, the chance at a plug-in hybrid EV (PHEV) trim. While information at the time of writing this blog is limited, we have some preliminary specs, features, and design notes we can share if you’re a fan of the Hyundai Santa Fe 3-row SUV.

Let’s explore what we know so far about the 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe that will be available at Braman Hyundai Miami.

2026 Hyundai Santa Fe First Impressions

Some sources speculate that the new Santa Fe will feature more rounded contours to the body, while others think Hyundai will lean into the boxy, bold design and deliver a more angular, defined body. The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe looks more like a pickup truck of yesteryear with a strong, rugged design that goes against the grain of slender, gently curved SUV bodies that make up the competition on the road.

We can’t confirm the 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe trims at this point, but we can assume we’ll likely see a return of the 2025 Santa Fe trims:

  • Santa Fe SE
  • Santa Fe SEL
  • Santa Fe XRT
  • Santa Fe Limited
  • Santa Fe Calligraphy

With the potential Hyundai Santa Fe PHEV, there may be additional trims, or they may reuse the same trims listed above. Once we have more details, we’ll be sure to update you. Before then, let’s continue with information we do know.

2026 Hyundai Santa Fe: What We Know and Expect

The Hyundai Santa Fe is a 7-seater, or we at least speculate it will be based on the 2025 model that has the choice between six and seven seats, depending on whether you choose captains’ chairs for the second row rather than a bench. For larger families, the Hyundai Santa Fe’s 3rd row seating potential ensures that everyone can stretch and relax on longer drives.

The 2025 Hyundai Santa Fe has 79.6 cubic-ft. of cargo space with all rear seats folded, and a passenger volume of 166.6 cubic-ft. The 2025 Santa Fe towing capacity is rated at a max of 4,500 pounds, so the 2026 model should follow suit.

We expect to see a return of the 12.3” touchscreen infotainment system, though it’s possible they could install a larger one. As it stands in the 2025 Santa Fe model, all trims share the same infotainment screen, so it’s unlikely a larger screen will only be available on higher-end trims.

Other possible returning features we expect to see in the 2026 Hyundai Santa Fe are:

  • Drive mode select
  • The choice between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive
  • Standard 18” wheels
  • LED headlights and taillights
  • Optional heated front seats
  • Wireless Android Auto™ & Apple CarPlay®
  • Front and rear USB charging ports
  • Blind-spot monitoring
  • Available parking assist
  • Hyundai’s SmartSense safety suite
  • And more
