Since they’ve continued to roll out the hits, we figured it was time to update our list with a few more good motivations to check out our favorite brand. 

The Cutting Edge of Electrification 

Hyundai has been an industry leader in terms of electrified technology for a long time now—they currently sell 5 different hybrid and plug-in hybrids in America, plus one hydrogen fuel cell car. 

In the last few years, Hyundai has stepped up the game even further with its EV offerings. The Kona Electric has been around since the 2019 model year, followed swiftly by the IONIQ 5 for 2022 and the IONIQ 6 for 2023. 

The IONIQ models have received significant praise. The 2025 IONIQ 5 has a perfect 10/10 rating from Car and Driver, along with a ton of other accolades, earning it the distinction of their most awarded EV. And the IONIQ 6 ain’t doing too shabby in the awards department, either. 

In another exciting bit of EV-centric news, Hyundai announced that it was adopting the North American Charging standard by 2025, which will give Hyundai EV owners access to thousands more DC fast chargers across North America.

Never ones to rest on their laurels, the higher-ups at Hyundai have been hard at work cranking out continuous improvements to their popular nameplates. 
Perhaps the most significant is the 2024 Santa Fe, which saw a complete ground-up redesign with an absolute truckload of improvements. The Santa Fe now boasts three rows of seating and acres more storage space, a more adventure-focused design principle, a massively updated infotainment system, and tons more features that you can read about here. 
Other models receiving significant glow-ups include the 2025 Santa Cruz, 2025 Tucson, and the newly minted 2025 Hyundai IONIQ 5 N. 

Even More Safety Features 
The Hyundai SmartSense suite of driver assistance features has remained at the cutting edge of safety. Thanks to continued improvements in technology, new features have been added, and many existing features have been upgraded for greater responsiveness.

A couple of years ago, you may have heard about a rash of thefts and break-ins that affected many vehicles nationwide. Hyundai was among the quickest to address the problem to ensure greater security for owners. 
In 2023, they issued a free software update to nearly 4 million Hyundai vehicles, which was seen as instrumental in curbing the theft epidemic. They also coordinated with hundreds of local law enforcement offices to spread awareness and provide anti-theft devices free of charge. 
Since 2021, all Hyundai models produced for the North American market come standard with an engine immobilizer system.
